Was there in 2013, brilliant festival. Rammstein on the Saturday night is probably up there with one of my favourite shows of all time.

Well The Prodigy are headlining it and Florence/Noel are more popular in the UK than they are in Belgium.

If Noel isn't at glastonbury then I can't see him accepting a sub slot, I reckon he'l be either co-headlining with the prodigy or outright headlining.

In almost every interview he's only spoken about 'headlining' glastonbury.

Good point actually. Announcing before Christmas after the tour had finished would've made a lot of sense. I know it's not always the case but you'd think Kasabian would've announced stadium shows by now. I trust eFestivals know something though but it does strike as a bit odd.

But how would that affect TITP? They have tour dates after BST is on, and also it's Kasabian so they're not gonna curtail their tour after 13/14 months.

She's bigger here than she is in Belgium. I'd say she's definitely big enough to headline. She subbed on her last album, has done a sold out arena tour and unless her new album completely bombs (which it won't) then she'll be looking at headline spots.

And she's only third from last because there's a dance act after Foos. In reality she's subbing Werchter, and as said above she's more popular here.

People not being able to understand that acts have different levels of popularity in different countries genuinely astounds me.

Werchter's also a completely different festival centred around big acts so it's no surprise it has big subheadliners.

Also worth nothing this happens the other way round too. Editors would headline Rock Werchter but played third top on the second stage last time they were at T.

I agree with that, year on year RW has a far more impressive line up while T is diminishing. I was just continuing your point that bands will be bigger/smaller in different countries.

Oh I wasn't disagreeing with you haha, I was just taking the piss out of people who complain about the likes of Werchter having stronger lineups.

1. These huge acts that Werchter has in lower positions are less popular there.

2. There's less competition for acts in Belgium than in the UK.

3. Therefore Werchter can probably get acts for lower fees than in the UK.

4. Werchter only has 3 stages to book bands for, so can concentrate more of their budget on huge names at the top.

The worst thing T does is re-book the same old boring acts every year. Taking a chance on someone like Florence is a much more interesting move (even if she is cheaper) than having Kasabian or The Killers headline again.

The majority of T's crowd nowadays are happy to see the likes of The Killers, Calvin Harris, Arctic Monkeys etc repeated. Its also why I would expect Mumford and Sons to be announced as headliner again.

I only end up seeing about 1 mainstage headliner per year, delighted with The Libertines. Reaction on T's facebook was hilarious though
