They did say on XFM scotland there would be an announcement tomorrow night, but they didn't say what kind of announcement

I'm not surprised they are delaying it as long as they can, I'm sure there's still an objection in place from gleneagles golf club but not sure where they stand with it

Sure hope it's Thursday as in tomorrow rather than next Thursday the day before tickets go on sale.

Come on T, don't let me down. Robbie and Kasabian. Prodigy on R1 against Libertines. Nero in Tuts. Wee bit of Idlewild, DFA1979, Enter Shikari, Maccabees, Young Fathers, Circa Waves and The Xcerts.

EDIT: Would also love Bills Wells & Aidan Moffat there

Robbie Williams and The Prodigy remains my prediction. I'm sticking steadfastly by that. However, I can't see both Mumfords and Kasabian doing Bellahouston, and I do think we'll see them both up here. If I had to guess, I'd say Kasabian are the better shout of the two, and The Prodigy on R1 like harryomatic. But I'll go with my initial prediction, because changing it now would just be cheating. :P

Il be surprised if Neil is wrong about Kasabian, he seems relatively sure about them playing, I couldn't argue the point anyway, big history with the festival and with it moving to a new chapter it makes sense

Mumford I am holding out for being wrong, more hopeful for someone else, Robbie wouldn't be bad as long as there's someone worth watching for me on another stage, but he would be a good book

That line up would be insane!

I'd assume Young Fathers get a good King Tuts slot. Maccabees on the Radio 1, maybe subbing it or third down. Third down seems more realistic. Can't think of a place for DFA 1979. Enter Shikari in Tuts would be magnificent.

I'm hoping for Madness headlining Tuts one night. Another potential game changing announcement for me.

Mumford were just announced for opener on July 1st...

I would imagine nowadays Madness would play more of a novelty slot earlier on the main stage, think your probably spot on with Young Fathers and Maccabees

DFA played the nme stage in 05 but a slightly different proposition now, hopefully they'd put them in tuts midway or something

Yeah those slots sounds bang on. Really want Enter Shikari in Tuts. Saw them in 2012(?) on R1 stage and it was probably the worst I've seen them.

Would Madness headline Tuts? They headlined R1 stage last time (2010). I feel like they're the sort of act who's stock isn't really going to rise or fall any more. They are what they are and get a decent crowd. That said perhaps the changing demographic of T would encourage them to play in Tuts

God T really have rebooked Mumfords haven't they... :sarcastic:

I don't know why they did... they easily could have booked someone like Florence or Prodigy to headline they aren't stripped for choice.

If they have rebooked Kasabian and Mumford then that's pretty bleak in my opinion, as you say, it's not like there's an extremely limited amount of options

I see it as bleak, and will be looking for the other stages to provide good headliners if it's the case. Friday night has provided some good headliners in Tuts the last few years though so that's one at least.

I suppose if there's not another decent act clashing with Kasabian, I'd be happy enough to see them again, but it's not ideal.

they're bleak if they're not your bag, but they're two of the biggest ticket selling acts of the moment.

Selling tickets is what it's about.

I agree, the mainstage headliners seem to be the be all and end all for a lot of people, it's bleak in my opinion but il just go elsewhere and see someone else, part and parcel of enjoying the festival really I feel

The Libertines, Mumford and Sons, Kasabian is stronger than last years trio imo.

So yeah an announcement tomorrow then... I think those three are a pretty strong trio.. interested to see how the prodigy fit into this, playing after one of the headliners on the saturday?

Don't think they'll do that this year. It'll be The Prodigy on Radio 1 IF they play. If not, and if they're not headlining outright, then I don't think they're playing.

So can we assume The Prodigy are playing but not headlining now? :P

Can't say very much nice things on this potential Mumford booking, I'd definately have Florence there before them, though I will be shocked if she isnt booked, maybe co-headlining one night?

I would say Biffy, Calvin and Arctic Monkeys was stronger. Calvin is a huge act, Biffy headlining T was a huge moment for them and fans, and Arctics have been a really big, solid act for years.

mmm i see, but Biffy was the only good headliner out the three of them.. Arctics were pretty boring.
