Phin
How the hell is Jimmy Eat World opening for Paramore?! Am I the only one who grew up with both these bands but still sees Jimmy Eat World as this timeless magnificence, and Paramore as this band that were ok when I was 14 but since then the lead singer got a bit dickish and fired her whole band and since then had released some fairly mediocre songs? Jimmy Eat World have been consistently fantastic and relevant throughout their lifetime - and Paramore is just this shitty excuse of a "band" (quite impossible to say, in my opinion, when it exists as just one singer...) Have I gone mad?! Please help! (For example... 23 against Misery Business...)
gary1979666
Maybe post this in the forum relating to the festival in question?
t8yman
The answer is easy anyway. Quality has no bearing in music any more. Quantity is where it counts. Like it or not, Paramore will probably shift 8-10X more units than JEW will.

russycarps
Both bands are terrible. Hope this helps.

t8yman
I think the numbers game is far more dominant these days tbh. As is the "dumbing down" of a lot of culture.

t8yman
Because culture was so sophisticated until recently:
LondonTom
I know what you mean, but music was a lot better in the old days.

t8yman
I was being a little tongue in cheek! There's loads of great new music around, it's just unlikely any of them will succeed.

wee_insomniac
Try listening to sounds of the 60's on radio 2 on Saturday mornings... It all sounds the same!
