U2 in the rain is definitely the lowest I've ever felt at Glastonbury & made me really dread the next couple of days.

Woke up the next day & the sun came out! (a bit). Sunday was nice, I remember sunbathing whilst Plan B was on.

U2 was w*nk, the rain was not the worst part of it, was like glastonbury itself was crying at bono singing unaccompanied.... That was a low point

There is talk on the weather forums of the low perhaps heading towards northern France than directly sitting over us.

What can we do to make this happen? :)

It could be as simple as wafting your hand in the air- it's a bit like chaos theory where the tiniest atmospheric changes can have a cascade effect- so get wafting!

Hope some of the methane gases from the long drops absorb their way underground, entering the atmosphere in the English Channel thereby creating a barrier against the low pressure?!

it's been said somewhere else but the issue with 2011 is that the site was already sodden. This year the site is bone dry. Sure we might get rain across similar days, but a totally dry site will make a difference.

In a strange way I quite enjoyed the rain on the Thursdays last year and in 2009. But that was because we knew that was the worst of it gone. 2011 was a different magnitude, partly as you say because the ground was pre-soaked. But I would hate another day like that Friday. Trying to watch music when it's pissing down is No Fun. Still, nothing we can do except suck it up. Gah!

I don't think the ground has been this dry pre-glastonbury for over a decade- who knows what will happen when it starts to rain? Will it just roll along the top and pool? will it slip down the cracks a drain instantly? Will it cause the ground to soak up and seal the cracks like bullet wounds to the T-1000 in terminator 2?

If you haven't already, said a thank you to Jackone I'm sure it would be appricated. The daily updates take him a long long time..

Quoted from JACKONE: "Thanks for all the feedback, (good and bad) it is appreciated, and makes the hard work worthwhile..."
