So looks like if we all agree to sit in our tents for 24hours on Friday the site will be fine and no mud anywhere. Think we can all agree to do that can't we?

If the rain is due Friday the worst of it will be over before the headliners. I think thats what most people were worried about.

The guy on the local BBC forecast said "there is a lot of uncertainty regarding the location of this front (the one threatening the heavy rain), some models have it as far south as Spain". Given how far Spain is away, it shows they have no idea, plus it also means we could get off scott free! :)

Do people think that with this amount of rainfall good walking boots will still be ok. Will they keep the wet out? Or do you really need wellies for this

I'd say going on forecasts at the moment it's welly time. However, it all changes so quickly so I'd prepare for anything and everything.

EDIT: Basically what you've put above!

Are you walking boots water proof?

Do you have gaiters?

If the answer is yes to both of these then your walking boots neeednt ever be replaced by wellies.

This - I've never worn wellies (apart from trips to the toilets in the middle of the night) and always been fine, including 97, 2005, 2007. (Good) walking boots every time!
