Unless you have mobility problems which mean significant mud renders you totally unable to navigate the site.

We know it's a gamble when we buy my husband a ticket - he has spastic diplegia which means he walks on his toes, his legs are stiff and his balance is poor. We say when we buy the ticket that if it looks like there will be a lot of mud he will have to accept it's best to stay at home. However this close to the festival and with so much uncertainty that is very hard to do. At the moment he is coming, but with a real risk of being stuck in the tent from Friday onwards, or having to give up and get the train home. So it's not just a case of "man up and come prepared" for everyone - I'm sure there are plenty of folk in a similar position to a greater or lesser extent.

Fingers crossed it's Ok for you. Met office now I lying saying 50% chance of rain Frida. It should be fine don't listen to the pessimists on here. Last year we had a good bit of rain on the Thursday it was dry by Friday morning!

Localish report for what it's worth: Another beautiful sunny morning in Britol and Bath - a little cooler and a slight breeze but still high teens, blue skies, a few fluffy white clouds. Much the same as yesterday morning. Last night was very humid and storm clouds gathered, went quite dark about 8pm, few spits of rain, and a thunder storm seemed likely, but it passed over and remained largely dry.

Yup we had a passing shower here in Bath last night

The good news is this morning you wouldn't be able to tell by feeling the ground!

Most sites looking at 20-30mm over weekend now, which I think = mud whichever way you cut it.

Met Office are usually quite reliable at this range TBF and have two days of heavy showers.

Last remaining hope is that, as showers are unpredictable, we get lucky with how they cross the SW. But Worthy Farm is traditionally a big rain magnet at the end of valley.

I've never had a bad Glasto no matter what the weather is like. It's just more difficult in the mud.

As I've always said I'd rather have a muddy Glasto than no Glasto at all.

Just take the right clobber for all eventualities and you'll be sound
