Glastonlocal
Science bump. Both accuweather and festiweather currently giving an alright outlook. Accuweather not looking too good for Sunday. Im predicting one of those mixed years. Bit of rain, bit of sun. Not too hot or too cold at night. Splendid in my book.
jeffie
The amount it has been raining lately here, by the time the festival arrives there will be no rain left to fall!!! Just trying to keep a positive vibe going - we can hope at least:-) Come and see us in the NFR NFC thread!! You sound like our sort lol
Thearg
That's not very warm on http://festiweather.com/forecast.asp?EventID=667&event=Glastonbury%20Festival%202014
Glastonlocal
Yeah it is a bit cold. That would be well below average max temperatures. But its a comfortable enough temperature.
Yesiamaduck
That's not very warm on http://festiweather.com/forecast.asp?EventID=667&event=Glastonbury%20Festival%202014 That's a very comfortable temperature though, I don't think anyone could possibly be unhappy with that. In fact I'd say very high teens - low 20's is perfect weather. Edited May 30, 2014 by Yesiamaduck

I can't remember if the beer jacket works both ways, i.e keeps you warm when it's cold and cool when it's hot :s
Glastonlocal
I can't remember if the beer jacket works both ways, i.e keeps you warm when it's cold and cool when it's hot :s I think there's a psychological - physiological distinction. If cold, beer jacket forms a psychological barrier against cold. If hot, beer is cooling. The answer to questions of temperature is almost always beer, unless it is cider. Gnomicide
Alcohol lowers the body temperature so you don't feel as cold when you've had a skinful.

stuartbert two hats
I quite like wearing an actual jacket, as it saves having to lug around a man-bag for bits and bobs.

Stick !

FirsG
Should be in the next week or so that we start getting a slightly better indication of what weather we might actually get, shouldn't it? Weather like last year would be perfect.

Glastonlocal
Isn't there a Swedish one or something that people swear by? Accuweather has a poor rep but I enjoy its brave attempts at long-range forecast. Jackone at netweather is the chap to follow. His blog tomorrow will be enlightening. Met office are obviously authoritative. BBC tend to give out an overly cautious reading of met office data. Festiweather is hopeless. We are *starting* to get into a forecastible timeframe. We should at least start getting some sort of indication of what the pre-festival conditions will be like. Obviously, drier ground can cope with more rain at festival time, so even if the festival weekend itself is too far away, I don't think it's too early to start getting some sort of useful information. morph100
I like the graph with all the different predictions getting closer and closer together, i think that's being done again... Glastonlocal
You know that no matter how many you check, you will only believe the ones that show it to be good, no matter which site it is. It's not a matter of belief. It's a matter of rational observation of data.
