Met some workers in Glastonbury town earlier and they said the site is pretty much mud free and ground is solid. Only problem with that is if we get a short but heavy down pour the water might not soak in and end up in low lying spots

Leeds 08 without wellies was brave! People were losing shoes left right and centre.

Ah my first festival. Turned up Thursday evening in white pumps, could barely stand, and had to trek across the entire camping area while carrying far too much beer. Was completely overwhelmed - so much mud as far as the eye could see. A chorus of "Bollocks!" rippled through the Valley. Mind blowing moment. The only spot at my friends' camp was in a patch of slop. Wellies had sold out on site, so had to put in an emergency order to my mum and have someone deliver them to site the next day. Lesson learned.
