Am I remembering a different 2009 to you guys? I remember our lot watching Fleet Foxes on the Friday afternoon and being so relieved the mud was drying up so quick. Did it rain after the headliners on the Sunday night? Because it definitely wasn't during Blur, and it was nice the following morning when we left.

It started raining a few hours after the headliners- I remember because my friends tent had leaked in the Thursday rainfall and his sleeping bag was damp (after being robbed the night before!)- couldn't really sleep in it the next few nights.

so he decided since the weather was so nice Sunday evening, he was going to sleep at the stone circle. Just as he started to drift off, I felt a splash of rain, then another, then a rumble of thunder and an absolute deluge- everyone at the circle ran for shelter and started singing hymns of comfort, while being huddled under any canvas they could find!

overnight GFS is ok until Saturday when light rain moves in

Overnight Euiro Met O model looks ok until Friday

Whichever way you look at it the pattern for a few weeks has been high pressure near to the west with a low over the frenchies, it all hinges how much that high ridges in and remains.

I am fairly confident of at least 3 days of no rain and good conditions and perhaps more

My 10 day forecast app covers to Friday. This mornings forecast has certainly improved. Scattered clouds tue wed, sunny Thursday Friday with highs of 24 on Thursday, and clear skies. It could all go Pete tong of course, but up to now I'm getting improving picture

As many have said before, the two weeks before is just as key as the week the festival's on. Certainly as far as the ground is concerned.

So far the build up weather is pretty decent.

I wont be too concerned with next week's forecast until the weekend...but that wont stop me looking 1562 times a day

Crap - looks like it might break next week then. Since the weekend the weather has been festival perfect - warm but not too hot, little wind, not too much sunshine but there when you need it, dry with perhaps a little sprinkle overnight to keep the dust down.

Don't get too downhearted pinhead yr.no I'd assume are making their forecasts using the very same charts J10 is using and a few of us are looking at as they're released.

Their forecast could change again later as a newer chart/s become available.

"The Met Office is more hopeful about the weather for Glastonbury Festival 2014 with the forecast looking dry.

The music festival in Somerset has often been known for its wet weather but this year is looking like it might be a drier event.

Although the sun may not shining everyday forecasters believe the temperatures will be mild and sunny spells will break through the cloudlb_icon1.png.

Laura Young, from the Met Office, said: "Looking aheadicon1.png at this stage we can say that it is looking more settled than initially thought."
