Some positivity to take is the guys on the netweather forum think the breakdown won't occur until Friday. For me I'd rather have decent weather weds/thurs than any other time of the week of the festival!

Me too- it is sounding a bit like the typical glastonbury weather patter we talked about before (Nice wednesday, rain Thursday night/ Friday morning, sun on Sunday...

I'm hoping this debate will continue....high pressure often stick around a day or 2 longer than expected....with any luck (& lots of hope) for the breakdown to be delayed until well into the weekend...

if you ignore BBC then it's generally pretty good. Slightly more than desirable from metcheck but really nothing to worry about at all

On another brighter note I find that generally the over night chart runs tend to be more negative than those through the day time. Not sure if this is a matter of fact or I'm dreaming it but appears that way to me!

So fingers crossed the next runs around 10.30/11am will be more positive :)

netweathers forecast looks ok, only 4mm of rain on sunday, negligible amounts otherwise (to be fair 4mm is negligible too!)

JackONE's 2013 forecast on the Saturday before last year's festival (pretty accurate, though actually underestimated the Thursday rainfall):

http://forum.netweather.tv/blog/189/entry-4637-glastonbury-forecast-16-22nd-june/

His one on the Sunday was pretty much bang on:

http://forum.netweather.tv/blog/189/entry-4642-glastonbury-forecast-17-23rd-june/

For the optimists among us, 2010's gives us a little hope (the one for the 19th would be the saturday before, and the 20ths would be the Sunday before):

http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/62625-glastonbury-forecast-2010/page-3

He was predicting a little rain at this point in 2010, however the trends at this point were things were looking better (where as now things are trending worse) by the Sunday he was roughly spot on.

So... it looks like JackONE's forecast today is pretty much how it will be- eek!

There's actually very little purpose to this thread except making people panic over a weather forecast that will probably change and where specifics couldn't even be predicted the day before. But people are still enjoying it.

It's almost as ridiculous as people watching a play complaining at someone coming in and honking a horn every two minutes

Look the internet is not one homogenous thing where every thread on every forum has to have the same level of silliness

Not everyone has to want the same thing. That's allowed.

There's lots of internet. A whole bunch of people are clearly irritated by the NFRNFC 'humour' - what's so wrong with respecting that a bit?

Certainly less than in ordering people to enjoy the internet the way you enjoy the internet. Noone is bitching about people having fun elsewhere - but they are bitching about others spoiling their fun by interrupting their fun here.

Some folk enjoy the stone circle by being up there doing NOS - I don't see everyone jumping onto their side and saying "tough, people can *PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST* enjoy the stone circle how they want and you have to *PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST* lump it - it's so sad how everyone *PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST* in the stone circle now just talks about *PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST* NOS what losers for complaining"

I'm not going to tell you what to do, but someone's not being out of order pointing out that they find a certain behaviour irritating. That is allowed.

That's a fair point - 'fess up - who bought sunscreen rather than waterproofs?

I threw out my umbrella, and bought a second bottle of sun cream, and in doing so doomed us all!

Frostypaw- last years rain was caused by something like a band of it being in some sort of weather front or something- how does the rain differ when it's just the result of falling pressure? Is the rain worse or more persistant? Am I making any sense?
