Also, I thought Ghost would have got with Jon in the last series when he went to negotiate with the Wildlings and he didn't. It's like he's forgotten he has a pet wolf or maybe it's the sentimental aspect of him being a gift from his father?

Remember when Jon first marched north, to what would become his first meeting with Mance? Ghost would only go "so far" then refused to go any further north.

Yes, though I assume they were trying to say he was the leader of the noble houses and thus the leaders of the Harpies would look to him for leadership. Or something.

Pretty sure if he was actually thought to be the Harpy's leader he'd be in the process of being squeezed out a dragon's arse.

Thats what I thought, for Salty to defend TWD so admirably through about 4 seasons of shite, and call GoT dull is a little strange.

Yeah, even the most hardened of comic readers cant defend the crap TWD has come with at times. GOT in comparison is miles better. So much so the lesser episodes in GOT would be up there with the best TWD episodes for me

Well it was better than the rest of Season 5 so far but still not great.

Enjoyed it though, Sam finally getting his end away for being prehaps the one decent guy in the show (I think apart from some of the kids, his the only one who hasn't done anything "morally" wrong has he ?).

The Sand Snakes teasing Bronn was brilliant, thought that was an intresting idea showing how weak men can be to see a woman naked.

Agreed the Dani sex scene was dull, but glad Tyrion seems like he might live even if the storyline doesn't really make much sense and him beating one of the slavers was great.

Do we think Cersei has been banged up for her "relations" or something else? Was fairly obvious they would eventually turn on her, especially given the High Sparrow's speech to Lady Tyrell

She was banged up because she shagged her cousin (Lancel) in S2 - and maybe he knew about her and Jaime too.

There is no reason to think Lancel Lannister has any special knowledge or evidence of Jaime and Cersei (though there's probably no doubt in his mind) but Cersei was shagging him (they're cousins) and earlier this season he made it clear Cersei had used him to assassinate Robert during the boar hunt.

I'm still not entirely sure that Lancel was Littlefinger's 'gift' to Olenna. It just doesn't make sense, Littlefinger has no control or leverage that we know of over Lancel to make him suddenly confess more than he already had. To be honest I suspect that the High Sparrow has known about Cersei all along and has been waiting for his moment to move against her.

Also, Jonathan Pryce has more than filled the Charles Dance shaped hole in the show. What an actor that man is.

Yeah, as fantastic as it was for Tywin to die, he was sorely missed. From his very first scene, butchering the stag, to his last he was brilliant. At first I wasn't sure about Jonathan Price's role, but the last couple of episodes he has really started to come into his own, the scene where he is stroking the simple altar was brilliant, from his acting to the way the camera followed his fingers, really stirring stuff.

Still, the best moment of the episode has to be Margarey Tyrell cracking "Get out you hateful bitch!", brilliant

I thought about this too. It makes perfect sense for him to give Cersei the pimp kid in order to get the Tyrell siblings arrested. The strong inference in the show is he "gave" Lancel to Olenna, but as you're saying it make little sense given Lancel doesn't like Littlefinger, wouldn't help him, has probably has told the Sparrow everything anyway - more so than Littlefinger, etc.,

Whilst I agree some episodes have been absolutely dreadful in TWD, I haven't defended them, maybe I just haven't voiced my displeasure, I hate Daryl, hes an absolute waste, he isn't in the comic so they write entire parts of the show just for him and they're awful. Any good scenes he has been in would be a different characters in the comic and they've passed them to him, since Merle has died he's worthless and Daryl was only interesting because Merle was the better character, so episodes like when it was Daryl and Beth at the golf place and setting the seperate building on fire were UTTER GARBAGE.

But to say the worse GOT are on par with the best TWD. No chance.

I do think however TWD would be a much, MUCH better show if it was a HBO show, I think AMC really limits the show with censorship at times, not just language but certain situations. GOT will always have the better network behind it. It would be great if TWD switched over to HBO.

He was called as a witness and he was clean a sign (in this show) of not being a prisoner. He might not have to kill him. He might simply have instructed the boy to give evidence, and at the trial he recants his evidence. Time is going to tell.

Yeah I was probably a bit dramatic in that point TBF.

But as for Daryl? He is my Tyrion. The one I dont want to die. Obviously as a comic reader you come from a totally different POV but Daryl is at this stage, for whatever reason, the only one Id see myself caring about personally if he croaked it................... Although him and Beth having the chats for a whole episode was the lowest point to date in TWD, episode wise. Paint drying would actually have stimulated me more.
