Hop Farm Festival: first time festival goer, going alone, any tips?

Hello,

This year I was feeling the need to plan something adventurous for the summer. I've always fancied travelling somewhere solo, and i've never been to a music festival before, so I decided to do both and bought myself a weekend camping ticket for this year's Hop Farm festival on a whim.

I was wondering if anybody could share some tips?

I'd also like to get an idea of what the camping arrangements are like, do they have wilder areas and family areas? Do you get a choice of where to pitch your tent?

I'm extremely excited about the line up and i'm sure it will be a fantastic weekend.

Many Thanks!

Hi there

The festival is being run by a different promoter so it's hard to know exactly what to expect.

I went two years ago (last year's was cancelled) and loved it. One big plus for me was that the stages were all reasonably close to each other.

The line up this year looks very "safe" so i wouldn't expect any problems. I didn't camp so I'm not sure about the campsite but would imagine it will be fine - obviously the earlier you get there the more choice you will have.

It's a very safe choice for a first festival. I'm sure you will have a great time.
