eFestivals
I always recommend these, just because they're just so damned cool.http://www.superfi.co.uk/p-12621-house-of-marley-bag-of-riddim-portable-bluetooth-audio-system.aspx?_$ja=cgid:3640281742|tsid:52064|cid:84819382|lid:36659662462|nw:search|crid:42342399262|dvc:c|adp:1o2|bku:1&gclid=CL7Tn9m0q74CFaHnwgod04kAOAOne Love. Brave Sir Robin
I've got these (in white) and am happy with them - fantastic sound for the small size and weight: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002PK1CPK/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=network-media

kidsfears
Get yourself an x-mini. Extremely small and packs a surprisingly decent punch, you can also buy multiple x-mini's and link them up. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=x-mini

Yesiamaduck
X-Minis are pretty great, get 2 of them and you'll be well sorted. I am taking a passive speaker with me, have no idea of the brand or where you can get one because I bought it off my mate for a tenner, it's the size of your standard medium sized stereo and sounds quite nice. X-minis are the way forward for compact and affordable solutions though, don't take minirigs with you they are too valuable for the festival. http://www.amazon.co.uk/XMI-X-Mini-Portable-Speakers-iPhone/dp/B00B47CV00/ref=dp_ob_title_ce Edited May 14, 2014 by Yesiamaduck
clarkete
Yes, fair point about the potential for loss. Tbh I'll be in the camper van fields, so will be secure, but I may not take it as I like listening to the sounds of the festival.
