Get yourself an x-mini.

Extremely small and packs a surprisingly decent punch, you can also buy multiple x-mini's and link them up.

X-Minis are pretty great, get 2 of them and you'll be well sorted.

I am taking a passive speaker with me, have no idea of the brand or where you can get one because I bought it off my mate for a tenner, it's the size of your standard medium sized stereo and sounds quite nice. X-minis are the way forward for compact and affordable solutions though, don't take minirigs with you they are too valuable for the festival.

Yes, fair point about the potential for loss. Tbh I'll be in the camper van fields, so will be secure, but I may not take it as I like listening to the sounds of the festival.

I'm taking my Roland Microcube, works off 6 AA batteries (Duracells,which last all weekend)

mp3 player , golf cart battery , class d car amplifier ( uses less power) rigged up to mono and 1 car shelf speaker

does the trick everytime
