Still questions over demand. I've spoken to people who reckon it'll go like hot cakes and others who think a twenty-five pound ticket the week before will be an easy one to sort.
It's not only costs, but there's also fewer of them (and even fewer it will be), so big actors like Live Nation that runs many of the major festivals, has no interest in tucking them all into one festival. I said it a few years ago that I predict that within about 10 years, these big festivals with mainly focus on music will be fewer and fewer as well, with many of them gone. There are simply not enough interesting bands to go around and all those formatted one hit wonders that are topping the charts has no chance of drawing the same audiences over time.
The Killers weren't into stadiums in 2018 though. Still very much an arena act. There seemed to be a loose consensus they were on the way down - Brandon even quipped it at their JP slot the year before. ("You play it twice - on the way up and on the way down.")
