I'm very confused by some of these suggestions. Do people not have much of a grip on how popular certain bands are at the moment?

Think the good thing about this is that it could be pretty much any sized band.

Most people will probably be nursing a hangover and wandering down towards the main stages around midday on Friday, waiting for the festival to kick off properly. If it's a Coldplay or something then the Other Stage should be able to handle it - if it's someone more niche then everyone can just keep wandering off to get their lunch/pint of cider etc.

but i also potentially have a 3-way clash around that time (tony benn tribute at leftfield and jonny greenwood at west holts) so i'd accept coldplay to make my life easier.

I think what he's saying is that whilst that is a perfectly acceptable slot for Klaxons there is no need for them to be labelled as special guest. If they were opening the stage it might as well say Klaxons

I think James is a good shout, I was quite surprised not to see him on the lineup anyway, he's got a new album out, has been all over the BBC & looks like he's free according to his website!
