We seem to be talking about both the big TBAs, so I was wondering what people thought about Owen Pallett for the JP slot. It's a couple of days after the AF performance, but the short setup time would seem to suit his simple one man band setup. No drum kit or amps to set up.

Probably been mentioned, everything else has!

You're probably right. Unless there are some sort of 'contractual reasons' we don't know about with an act that is the right size for those slots.

Of the two, I'd expect the Other Stage slot to be the big one, as that's the one with hype around it after Beady Eye last year. They may be shit, but they're high profile and there is a real buzz over that slot now.

The Strypes

Played charity gig in Pilton working mens club, went down a storm in JP last year, playing a festival 27-29 but doesn't say what day, in Ireland 28th, so if the festival date is 29th they are free to appear.

I think the 15 min changeover for the Sunday JP TBA must mean its someone with a pretty basic setup, is there anyone whose playing as part of a band over the weekend who also does solo stuff that might mean they would a simple do a set with just themselves and a guitar?

Anyone reckon it could be Ricky Gervais as David Brent? I think it would make a great opening act for the festival and he is famous enough to justify it being a "secret gig". http://www.nme.com/news/various-artists/76738 He seems uncertain as to whether playing Glasto would suit the character, but I reckon he himself would love to play. What do you guys think?

I think Lorde isn't a heavy touring artist

Maybe because of her age, but she's doing two UK dates - nothing else for Europe and that seems to be it.

Maybe next year she'l swoop in and be given a slot like 4th down on the Pyramid. As wherever she plays it's either big slot or no show.
