I didn't realise people got up that early at festivals to go & watch bands. How large a crowd did Beady Eye pull?

There was a lot of people there, one of the biggest crowds of the weekend I would think. Most people didn't know who it was till the name appeared on stage, I didn't know till then, if I had I wouldn't have gone but since I was there I thought might as well give it a go, no one else I fancied seeing.

the crowd for Beady Eye was pretty huge. even though the Beady Eye banner was on the back of the stage so people knew who it was long before people probably thought 'fuck it i'm up now' and stayed. plus, what with it being extremely hot how could people NOT get up that early!? the heat pretty much forces me out of my tent at about 9

Its the Foo Fighters, on the basis I had a dream last night that I was at a festival - they were on, but they ringfenced the stage so that I couldn't go. I ended up sitting with my back to the fence on my own playing a sega gamegear (why, I dont know)

That crowd does seem rather large.

We knew it was them and figured we may as well tag along just because. It was an experience I suppose, not one that will be repeated, but an experience nonetheless..

I quite enjoyed them to be honest, though mainly for the Oasis songs. Decent way to kick off the weekend. Though I do remember me and my mate at the urinals nearby before heading over... we thought it was Kasabian judging by the sound and got very excited.

Beady Eye pulled a reasonable crowd but not a lot of people left before The Hives who were on immediately after. Part of me thinks that most people (myself included) were planning on seeing The Hives, went early to see who would be on and just stuck around.

Perhaps pisses on anybody's Libertines-based bonfire, but the wording of this Pete Doherty solo gig doesn't sound too promising in terms of playing Other Friday morning.

on his way up to Scotland for the opening Libertines' show at The Barras Peter will be doing a small solo show at The Underground in Stoke.

Steriophonics just been played on the radio and it instantly made me think of this thread

A lot of people have said on here that it was small but It was pretty packed actually.

I got there just as the fence was coming down and I managed to get to front centre of the stage, I remember looking back at one point and thinking there was a lot of people there for 11am. Dont forget its the first main band of the weekend and after 2 days of largely doing nothing people will go watching anything.
