Sketchead
Is there a realistic list yet? The Libertines and Jamie T seem to be the only ones with a bit of something to them through either somebody saying they know something (Jamie T) and the Libertines comeback shows starting on Saturday in Scotland... theboneykingofnowhere13
Pete Doherty playing Stoke on Wednesday "on the way up to their first show in Scotland"... so libs looks unlikely.
majormajormajor
Steriophonics just been played on the radio and it instantly made me think of this thread
foolee
It's not totally unbelievable that they would book that tour so Pete actually makes his way to Scotland for the Libs shows just so he shows up for them, he's not the most reliable person in the music industry. neilloggie
Wednesday seems a bit early to start travelling to Scotland though,
Mouseboy11
Frank Turner possible? Hasn't played in ages, he's on tour with Mongol Horde at the moment so he's around. Edit: They have a show on the Friday in Nottingham, doesn't completely rule him out but guess it's unlikely. Mouseboy11
I don't think Frank Turner is in Glastonbury's good books either at the moment.
Sketchead
I think he slagged the fest off not so long ago.
Sketchead
May as well stick Arctic Monkeys/Last Shadow Puppets down as they always attend the festival and neither Monkeys/Miles have gigs over the weekend, before they start a load of European fests the week after. No chance though, as Monkeys are too big and TLSP have done a 'secret' slot before I'm just bored.
Mouseboy11
Just came across a post of his forums When asked if he was playing this year his reply was "Alas no, they don't answer my agents emails anymore" then someone asked why he said "I suspect they're friends with certain journalists who don't like me. But that's speculation." Odd.
radioahed
First song on RadMac is Can't stand me now I want it to be them, be a great way to start the festival and can finally tick off seeing them. Seen every memeber just not playing as the libs
GlastoSimon
http://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2012/sep/04/frank-turner-right-wing Can't imagine the above helped his cause in the lead up to 2013, makes sense with the 'journalists' remark too
DL50
Is there any concrete evidence pointing towards The Libertines or is it still just wishful thinking?

Mouseboy11
It's funny, in "How The Communists Ruined Christmas" he talks about Che, Stalin and Mao burning Karl Max
Jonny Hobbs
Always found it odd that Glasto would stop him performing due to his beliefs. Not very 'Glastonbury spirit'.

Jonny Hobbs
M.E. mentioned him in that Guardian article yesterday too.... "I like Neil Young, do a bit of Elvis, and a bit of Van Morrison … sometimes I do try to vary it by having a little go at Frank Turner though." http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/jun/22/michael-eavis-glastonbury-questions-jarvis-cocker-john-humphrys-kelis
