have nearly always done Glastonbury on my own or with my Daughter and son in law, as my partner has no real interest in going, i think the wet years and toilets etc put her off, still thats my gain : ). This time i will be doing it in a motor home for the first time ever, along with just my daughter this time as son in law cant get time off work, i have some friends who are also coming in there motor home, they have never done Glastonbury before, anyway they have just said to me they want to bring there two grandchildren, age 10 and 12 as they dont have to pay, i have told them they cant as they didnt get tickets for them, am i rtight in this, i really hope i am as i dont want any kids at all, not a grump but ive had three daughters, brought two up on my own from them being 10 years old, got 6 grand kids and on great grand kid, and at 66 years of age i like a break from them.

Everyone aged 13 or over on Wednesday 25th June 2014 (when the Festival starts) planning to come to the Festival, must register in order to book tickets. Children aged 12 and under do not require tickets and do not need to register.

Oh Bollocks....I really didnt want to hear this, last thing I wanted was to be dumped with someone else's children. Hmmm not sure hiw I'm going so solve this without upsetting anyone, bloody kids should be in school anyway. Grrrrr

Seems a bit unfair of your friends! Can't you just laugh it off and say nicely you're having special time with your daughter ..?

If you don't arrive together then you won't be parked together.. even if they do hunt you down just tell them you're doing stuff you know won't interest them.. and it must be really easy to get "lost" in the crowds if they don't take the hint!

Problem sorted, the school wont give time off

permission for the children to be away from the Tuesday. There parents won't now let them come : ) : ). They can do Glastonbury when there older, myself I wouldnt take young children to Glastonbury, or any festival that big, thats just me though, lots take them I know, although I really cant understand why they do, but its there decesion and I respect that. Anyway its all ok now, so looking forward to first yearvwith motor home, just hope weather improves, all this rain must already be affecting the site, with the ammount of trucks driving in and out : (
