I still think you should have kept one of the seats as a feature, but its looking/sounding good. I'm very jealous.

No room for it really, but will be keeping the yellow pole that is at the side of the sliding door :P

Anyway did a bit flooring today... blog updated :)

are you building a pole-dancing bus? :P

:sarcastic: If only..

Couple more bits done, really now need to get on with the woodwork.. getting a couple of joiners in to have a look and get a quote for building the shower/toilet enclosure as am not very confident of doing that bit myself.

Though I might just probe them enough to get some good tips and attempt it with a mate...

Ordered the shower tray and hob/sink today though :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Few more updates on the blog, joiner coming on Saturday to build my wetroom frame.

Will be doing the electrics in the next couple weeks, did you decide if you wanted to offload that stuff Neil? :)

Just read the blog in it's entirety. Have you done woodwork / designing stuff before, as you appear to know exactly what you are doing? It's a great read by the way.

That said, I am getting a joiner in this weekend to build the frame for the wetroom, as am not 100% confident on that.

But I will be watching/learning on how he fixes it to the floor/wall/roof so I can then use those methods for the kitchen unit and bed (and perhaps wardrobe) myself.

Wow thanks Yog, I'll be honest and am surprised at myself too..

I was initially going to be getting help from a mate of my partners who is very handy with wood and is a keen caravaner so knows all about electrics etc, but he's not been able to get involved at all.

So I've plodded on myself, doing plenty research, asking on forums etc and seems to be coming together.

I reckon am about 50% of the way now, so all going well it will be done for February as I planned... however it is going over budget but not too fussed on that as am doing it how I want it done, and have splashed out of a few things extra :)

Started the electrics now, getting my head round it though.

Hello Paul

I wish I had some knowledge of the electrics in a camper van. I've only ever got the electrics to work once while not hooked up to the mains. I think there must be a fault somewhere but as I haven't got a clue in this area we've limped along at festivals with candles during the night. I've now got the number of an auto electrician, so will be contacting him soon to give it the once over. Just paid the road tax on it today for another year. We are going to take it away to the place we are staying at at Christmas, and my son in law is going to sleep in it when he comes to visit us for a couple of days.

Anyway, keep up the good work. :)
