Meeting other cars before the festival

I need to meet up with a friend before the festival to give him his ticket and go in convoy to Gate D.- we'll be arriving about 1 on the wednesday so its relatively quiet (based on last two years)

He's coming in on the A303 - then probably A37 and I'm coming from the other direction from the A39

Where is the best place to meet up - he's likely to arrive a little earlier.

I was thinking tesco's in glastonbury town centre

I'd strongly recommend secure posting it to him beforehand just to make sure.... then you're safe either way and can arrange to meet before you get to Gate D itself at your leisure

But why not give it a shot. It used to be near impossible to get through the village to Glastonbury town on the Wednesday but with the overnight queuing it's all a bit of a mystery these days

If you do post it, as suggested above, make sure you get the right postage. We recently had a problem with being sold the wrong type of postage for a concert ticket and some bastard stole it during the postal process. Royal Mail don't give a shit and the Post Office ended up coughing up the price of the ticket because they sold us the wrong type of postage to insure the contents. Luckily the venue cancelled the old one and replaced it with a new one for us.

After that experience I wouldn't ever post a ticket by post, particularly not a valuable one like a Glastonbury ticket. However if you do, and I'm sure plenty of people successfully do, make sure it has the most 'expensive' postage available to it, to ensure that it is fully insured. I would like to think it's less likely to go walkabouts then.

Park at Ashcombe Farm, its right next the main site and a free minibus to the gate, this is what we're doing really easy to meet your mates as its tiny compared to the main car parks.

You don't need your Glasto ticket to get in there and its the same price as normal parking.
