Arriving campervan east late

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has experience of arriving later in the week at campervan East? We will be arriving on Thursday evening and was hoping we would have enough space for 2 tents next to the van.

Also, how far from the site would we be?

You will have enough space for two tents - just make sure you tell the stewards who are parking you up to make sure they leave enough space for the tents and an awning if you have one.

As to how far from the site you'll be - that's difficult to answer. Some years they seem to fill up the fields nearest the gate first and work back, sometimes they start further out and work towards the gate. Either way, you'll have a bit of a walk, but it won't be too bad and it's worth it for the luxury of a decent bed at night!

No worries - the pitch size you are given should be the same no matter when you arrive! it's just which field you are in which is hard to predict.

We arrived late Thursday last year and will again this year. I'm not remotely worried, there was plenty of space still in the (family ???) field beside where they do the vehicle check. No big deal on the walk to be honest either, heck were at Glastonbury.
