I grew up on TYO, and he even entertained my daughter, 20 years later she was obsessed with Drop Dead Fred.

RIP Rik.

Very sad news.

I remember his appearance on Jackanory as well reading Roald Dahl's

George's Marvellous Medicine. Amazing unforgettable stuff. I must of been five or six. Loved it.

I did see suggeation the other day that the epilepsy had in some way contributed to his passing but I guess it was mere speculation

His wife said he had a heart attack after he came home from a run.

There is a sick irony to it. Poor bugger
