Anyone know how difficult it would be to bring nos into glasto? (I would clean up any canisters that i brought with me)

Not sure of the legality of these things or how punishible it is to have them but it's definitely not worth the hit. Better off holding your breath for 10 seconds and spinning in a circle.

The annoying hiss of the gas canisters really ruins a nice chilled out evening at Stone Circle.

I don't understand the appeal, it lasts seconds.

Really hope they reduce the nos this year, it really is antisocial, the noise, the balloons, the canisters. Perhaps the users will become less annoying without the gas too

So glad to read it's banned, it drove me mad last year and the cannisters stamped into the ground was horrific to see especially around Stone Circle

Ahhh the sweet sound of moralising. Don't take offense, my comment is probably not directed at you.

Anyhow. They are quite big, bulky, heavy and have a very characteristic noise so if someone shakes your bag pretty easy to spot. Also to be fair to everyone above the festival has said not to bring. So maybe out of respect for the festival follow this? Plus I think they have said they will take it off you. Others do make a massive mess with them which is pretty antisocial.

On legality. It's legal to own etc but illegal to have for the purpose of inhaling so you could still get done - thou have no idea how many prosecutions there have been. I also suspect if you had a stack of them you might be able to be done for intending to supply for inhalation though I suspect no-one has ever been done so probably only a theoretical risk.

On the high, well each to their own I guess. Plus side is it's pretty safe. Though don't stick a bag over your head and I have seen someone fit at a festival from nitrous, probably from hypoxia - she was rather blue. They recovered quickly and then behaved like a total twat, but there you are.

I work in the recycling crew and those little silver fucker canisters are the most difficult things to pick up, sort and deal with.....leave them in the kitchen where they bvelong....

I've only seen the police walk into a crowd and remove people twice in my relitively short spell of going to Glastonbury. Both times was for noz.

i notice they will be ejecting people - so tempting to attract security's attention to anyone dropping silver cannisters.

I think NO3 is fertiliser - not sure that's what they mean if they ban nitrates we'll be in trouble!
