Hotel near to site - Saturday

Broke my collarbone last night. Still want to do some of the festival, anyone know if it's likely I can find a hotel nearish the site so I can do at least one day

Glastonbury Travelodge has availability for the whole festival - Saturday is showing as £134, Friday as £102.

How big are your pockets? There was an advert from a motorhome rental company offering a 6 berth AND West pass for £1200. Would mean you could do the whole festival, nearby, in sleeping comfort (albeit i would suspect moving around is still uncomfortable!).

i know how sore this can be, but 2 weeks will go a long way for recovery, no were near long enough for a full scale recovery i know. Its just a suggestion but i really top quality pump up mattress could really happy your camping experience.

But its easy to say that, your the one hurting at the minute, get well soon!

Thanks guys. Pretty much resigned myself to the fact a full Glastonbury isn't happening this year. No way I can put up my Trailer Tent with my injury. Just hoping to make it down for some of the festival. Going to leave the decision as late as I can. If the worst comes to the worst, I'll try to do Saturday and half of Sunday.

Found a hotel in Frome, booked it on Saturday.

Didn't get a confirmation email so called them, guess what - no reservation! Livid, waiting for them to call me back now. Can't beleive it, absolutely fuming at the moment.

Going to need to get back on my research and find somewhere else I suppose.

We spent a night at the George and Pilgrims in Glastonbury town last year - it's slap bang in the town centre, and is in an old mediaeval building, so oozes character. Rooms are a bit less comfortable than a Travelodge - but central location and character make up for it.

This is showing availability for Fri/Sat/Sun nights, not cheap at £210 but you do get breakfast.. and free cancellation until 25th if you find something else in the meantime..

Don't want to drop the lad who took the booking in it, so I'll not say. I spoke to them again though and they were sound and I'm not fuming anymore, seems like an honest mistake just so glad I called to re-confirm. Found another place close by so all good.

Still not sure what state I'll be in at the festival, but even if I have to sit at the back of the Pyramid field all day, there are worse places to be, right!
