brersam
Wheres a good deal to get box's of wine from? nothing fancy! Tescos seems pretty steep.
Kempie
I have always found it more expensive to buy wine in the box which seems daft. Sainburys sell some nice wines in boxes for about ยฃ12.50 for 3 bottles. (ยฃ4.17 a bottle) Their Shiraz is good and ยฃ14%!
coma girl
Sainsbury's own brand red is the nicest of the cheap boxed reds I think.
baxterboy
If its too dear maybe goto the local brewery shop and buy a used bag, they will have loads laying about, then decant your bottles I to them. Wilkos sell loads of home brew kit, they may have some bags.
rischbrit
I normally have white wine but this year I'm going for red as if this gets warm it is still drinkable where as white tastes like crap warm (in my opinion). Thanks for the Sainsburys Shiraz tip.... looks like i'm going there!
pie_and_a_pint
I took tetra pak wine from Waitrose last year - it was pretty decent and cost about ยฃ4 for a 750ml 'bottle'. Have a feeling Lidl do tetra paks too?
matt2007
aldi did somelitre sized tetras too

cossie
Don't forget most supermarket wine boxes are 3 litres (ยฃ12-15) which is same as 4 bottles so decent value
Gnomicide
Another recommendation here for the Sainsbury's shiraz. I've taken that to a couple of festivals, very nice for the price.
Tiesto FTW
I might have a look at the Sainsbury shiraz then. Always thought it was a good idea seeing people walk around with a box of wine, easy to share and also when completed....it acts as a pillow! mkgirl1981
sainsburys also had red wine in plastic bottle when I went the other day. looked pretty basic but might be worth a try Edited June 18, 2014 by mkgirl1981

Kempie
Oh no! I wasn't going to drink this week, but all this talk of Shiraz.... and now the sun has come out....
coma girl
Most are no longer 3L now, they've downsized to 2.25 and 2.5L instead, yet maintained the higher price. However, we've been supping Aldi's 3L ยฃ15 Shiraz for a week now (as Mrs CJ found my Glastonbury stash) and it's decent enough.
coma girl
Just been in Lidl and they're advertising 3l boxes of shiraz for ยฃ10.99.
matt2007
Tesco do litre sized tetras or white, red and rose. The white is not bad about ยฃ4
