Man city don't make much revenue in comparison to United, so city have to be careful in there spending now with ffp. Probably a reason why they have signed players like Kompany, silva, dzeko etc etc on new long term contracts.

Its lvg problem how they use him. I think with him available and willing to move to man u, they had to take the risk. There's a danger if they wait for the perfect player that they end with nobody. As a neutral he is a player that I look forward to watching.

Surely his master plan is one that's much like 'Arry's? "Look after number one, and who gives a fuck about the club?"

The club will give him money to spend. The more of it he spends the more likely he is to be successful, and LVG's job is to be successful and not to manage the spend.

So for all the while the club will give him funds he'll spend it - and with the amount of desperation at the club they'll give him endless funds.

Many believe the loss of Suarez will have a massive impact on Liverpool and of course loosing a player of his talent will impact a team but I dont think it will be as bad as some think. I dont see Arsenal being a better team than Liverpool like many simply assume on the limited evidence thus far. I have no reason to believe that Liverpool cant get 3rd this season and hopefully they can find some form, gel as a team, stay relatively injury free and push the top two.

Ill personally go for a 2-2 draw tonight and would be very happy if that happened.

On another note that price for Di Maria is eye watering! 16m Balotelli (pending), 20m Lovren, 10m Can, 20m Markovic, totals 66m. Di Maria is 64m!! I know what I would much rather have spend my money on............

Spending that sort of money isn't the issue, spending big money on the wrong players is more the issue. Fellaini, Mata, Di Maria all the wrong sort of players imo.

Have to agree. The thing with Di Maria is for me I dont believe he is worth that much and he is not exactly what Utd need to solve their current issues. I am really interested in seeing how Utd line up with him in the 1st 11.

The money isn't an issue, man utd can generate far more than they spend. Also comparisons like that don't take total wages/bonuses into consideration. I would probably rather have di Maria than those 4 players, although my knowledge of can and markovic isn't great. However man u need to ensure they have players to compliment di Maria, still work to be done in the next week
