Rooney is on a basic 200 grand a week and on big bonuses for goals, trophies etc etc.

Mata has scored quite a few goals and assists.

he just isn't a 42.5 million player though. Much like selling Luiz to PSG for 50 millions, Jose seems good at getting the maximum from players.

Either way its a superb signing. There isn't a better player in the league outside of Man City and maybe Chelsea when Hazard is on top form.

Lots? I'd imagine it's a very small percentage, and your example is a clause rather than defined figures. Without knowing what every other squad member is paid (or at least the high-profile ones) knowing that Keane got paid more than any of them isn't much information to go on when trying to find an accurate salary/wage.

How can you be so sure, he might flop. Di Maria is used to playing in a top team playing well, coming to Utd will be very different.

It's only a superb signing if Utd see the best of him - and like with Mata, that's going to be difficult without major changes in the rest of the team.

Of course there are no guarantees in life but id be very surprised if he did not make a significant impact with Utd considering the talent he has
