Daley Blind to United for £14m? That's a good signing if it comes off. I've seen him play a couple of times for Ajax and he looked solid at the World Cup.

Also, just read a couple of things saying how Rojo may not even get to play a game for United due to work permit issues and problems with third-party ownership. What's going on there? I thought they'd paid £16m for the guy?

Not sure I believe rumours that you start :P

Agger has gone to Brondby. Replacement required or already strong enough in that area?

That should have said 'seeing'.

If you care to check the papers of the last few days you'll see more than one mention of LFC and song.

But from what I've read since my last post, it does look like you've got him. Fantastic signing for you if true.

I'd say Agger needs replacing with someone better cos Liverpool's defence is weak, tho him leaving is already covered by Lovren's arrival.

Didn't see the Burnley game, but from the Sky Sports app commentary it sounded like Burnley had the better chances. Anyone on here watch it?

Song's a fantastic signing for West Ham. Bet he feels like a plonker now after getting too big for his boots at Arsenal.

Man utd took there inspiration from MK Dons and played like Wimbledon..

I saw it.

It would be perhaps untrue to say that Burnley were overall the better team, but it would certainly be untrue to say they were the worst.

It's probably the case that Burnley had more chances, and more decent chances, tho I forget.

Amusingly, some bloke i've never heard of (cos I can't say I've taken any notice of Burnley previously) outplayed Utd's fifteen trillion worth of players and got man of the match. :)

I don't suppose that was Jones? Every other bit of commentary seeemed to be "Jones pounces on a loose back pass from the United defence and forces a save out of De Gea.

I think it might have been him, yeah.

Given that just one Utd player in midfield was worth more than the whole Burnley team, it's rather amusing. :D

David Jones went to the same secondary school as well. In remember in the past Wales wanted him, but he wanted to wait to see if England would call him up. At the time I thought it was mad, but seeing the standard England have called up recently, he may not be far off!

I'm pretty sure they said on MOTD that Di Maria cost £15million more than Burnley have spent on players in their ENTIRE 100+ year history.

yep - I've heard that a few times, and presumably it's true.

When i was watching the match yesterday, the commentator* said that the current Burnley manager only spent £440,000 on players to get promotion - which I think sounds even more impressive for Burnley's achievements.
