Should I use an Orange SIM or my normal Three SIM for my festiphone?

Hi all,

Is there any difference in the quality of phone signal you get between networks?

My normal number is from a Three SIM, but I've also got an Orange one I use for Orange Wednesdays and have used at festivals before. With Orange (now EE) sponsoring the festival (and talking about offering 4G wifi and all that nonsense) do they have a better boosted signal there compared to the other networks?

I've worked at 6 Glastos using my Orange constantly (and its derivatives) and the coverage there is 100% all the time.

Couldn't comment on any others though.

Tip. Three sims don't work in non-3g phones.

Orange - EE have a cell tower on site in exchange for a small amount of marketing evil

Pre 2009 Three were next to unless during the festival — I had signal but the network was jammed so I couldn't call and texts took hours to come though.

It may have improved since but I've taken the temporary EE sim route ever since and had no problems.

If you go in to EE at the moment and get a sim card with £10 or more on, they offer you a 99p phone. That's what happened to me today. It's only a cheap little thing but it's a good back up.
