Glastonbury won't be that passionate. I don't doubt there will be fans of the roses there because clearly there will be, just not enough to be so forgiving.

You are entitled to that opinion. I just remember people saying no one would turn up for Metallica, that people would walk away after one song, that no one would know any of the songs etc, so it just annoys me when people think the Glastonbury crowd would not know any of the songs. Glastonbury crowd is one of the most knowledgeable of music out of all of the festival crowds and personally I think they would go down a storm, especially on the last night.

I watched the Roses twice (Heaton Park Saturday and Optimus Alive in Portugal), also watched Ian Brown solo 6 times. Only at 1 or 2 of the gigs did I really notice him sounding ropey, some of the solo gigs and Heaton Park in particular he sounded spot on

Christ on a bike, chill the fuck out. I've been pretty vocal about how I don't get the whole Roses thing going on here but no need to be so tense. Just go somewhere else - it's Glastonbury :)

PS. Nothing wrong with Paolo Nutini.

Soz for having an opinion. Go back to bed Zac.

The Roses can not, in my opinion, be in the 'legend' status on the strength of one outstanding album and one half decent album.

Soz, they are. 100k in that field if they play. Lot of grown men crying with happiness, me included.

I can't believe we have users denying that the roses would have that power. They especially would.. I think they are one of the last UK bands to have never headlined and have that power!

And it is just my opinion. Maybe you're right and they nail it. I can only base my opinion on what ive seen/heard.
