This thread would be much easier to read if you could create a filter that hid any post that met 3 or 4 of the following criteria:

1. mentions the Stone Rose, Oasis and/or Noel Gallagher

2. has joined in the last month

3. has less than 100 posts.

4. uses the phrase 'a friend met', 'a friend spoke to'

Oh excuse me, beacuse youve been a member on here longer and only you are allowed to talk about bands you like and want to play! Snobby judgmental people like you, that put alot of people off joining this forum and that shouldnt be.

You are the complete opposite of what glastonbury is about.

Just a thought - could it possibly be that this year they're just struggling to book bands that play Other, John Peel & Park?

With the secrecy that surrounds Glastonbury, and they tend to start bookings quite late on compared to all other European festivals, they're just struggling to confirm 10 acts for each day on those three stages, say? Just this year a tad difficult compared to others.

That's maybe why the FULL lineup, will have to wait?

I saw so many of my favourite bands there last year I knew Glastonbury would struggle to get an Other Stage Line Up to please me this year !

Not really bothered about the headliner much, just want a list of names to sift through so I can check out some of the smaller bands that'll be playing. Be a shame if we weren't able to familiarize ourselves with any of them until June.

Exactly, I think if glasto released the undercard it would shut people up about the third headliner anyway

Agree with this and I'm 100% confident we'll get a line up announcement before June.

They can't be announced because they are 'doing something else'? Well who could that realistically be? If they have to keep it a secret then surely its something that has already been announced for another festival? That leads you to the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Blur but would massively contradict what both bands have said.

Correct. I need a Spotify playlist ASAP!

I'm sure I remember a couple on here mentioning whispers about Prince being active in London...

Pyramid skin going up a month and a half earlier than usual and the line up coming out potentially a month and a half after its expected

What the hell is going on?

According to the 'Glasto Chat' on Facebook the festival is in fact being moved to align with the winter solstice and the line up is coming out in January.

It'll get to mid-June and Prince decides he's not playing, and Glastonbury are at a loss to what they can do with the SPECIAL GUESTS TBA on the full lineup. Cut to Sunday night when 100k+ are in the field amidst rumours of Bowie, Stone Roses, Led Zeppelin. Clock hits 10 and the Kaiser Chiefs banner drops down and the first chords of I Predict a Riot ring out.

Best I can do for those who can't see the FB group. ....

Mark His words were, we cannot release the 3rd headliner until xxxxxx because they are doing something else.

  • Mark He did actually tell us when it's coming out, but you wouldn't believe me if I told you.

All I will say is, you have a very very long wait, not so long for me, because I know when it i

  • Dave Haha Mark Atyeo love it

  • Mark I'm not even joking though.

    It's a contractual thing.

  • Lissa Come on Mark... Share, we won't tell, honest...

    We'll all be contractual too...

  • Dave Would be even better if you knew who. I can imagine your FB going nuts.

I just wish people would just be patient and have a little faith.

  • Mark Technically, he didn't say don't tell anyone.

All I say is, you won't hear anything in April, or May.

  • Mark I have a very very good idea, he didn't confirm anything tho.

  • Dave I think peoplè are confusing release of full line up with announcement of third headliner. Full line up always late. Logistics of sorting all the acts out must be a nightmare.

First two comments make it sound like it's not being announced until the festival, bloody hell.

That could make sense. Mind it would only really make sense if it was that he was playing his own big show or another festival though wouldn't it? Small gigs aren't going to make any difference to a Glastonbury announcement.

Would they dare try and keep that last headliner until the program is printed?

I still maintain that the sigh of disappointment when that happened at the Other Stage last year was one of my highlights of 2014's festival.
