I'm as frustrated as the most angry of you and as nonchalant as the rest about the line-up. Would love to know but at the same time it'll come when it comes.

Got thinking though, some people will not have completed their payments because they won't have known the line-up. While I feel for some of them because they would have discovered the essence of the festival via going due to the line-up, I can't help feeling it's going to be a good thing for the festival crowd make up. I mean wouldn't we all rather a crowd made up of people there for the full experience rather than a specific few acts? Just a thought that by not releasing the line-up you might get more general fans and a better crowd.

Then again could all be a load of crap and none of it makes any difference. I may be on my 7 time this year and trust the Eavii to put on a good show - as even with a substandard line-up it would still be the best place on earth - but I can see the view that we should know a bit more about what we have bought. Then again, the Thing (best found top of page 1020 btw) shows two years releasing something on the 14th April - which is next Tuesday. After that, irritation at the lateness is better justified.

Just gonna have to listen to ALL of music in the meantime on the off chance the bands may be there. Plenty of good stuff about!

Its bitter sweet, its nice to be surrounded by people that are there for the festival but I think sometimes a general festival crowd can be a bit stale when seeing some live bands.

I think thats massively oversimplifying things. I'm sure there's enough in the festival's coffers and credit limits to put together a world class line up without having to draw down all of the ticket sales as soon as the payment window closes. A non-sellout would probably hit their profit margins post festival though.

Ticket sales in October would have had to have been well short of selling out to force them to rethink the line up.

Ticket sales are what it's all about and with it being such a massive festival, there's so much to pay for. Agreed, the festival 'does' gross tens of millions but the Eavii pride themselves on committing much of that to charity. I believe that Michael quoted as pocketing £60,000 a year and that doesn't even cater for annual cow costs.

It's just about cows really

Why are The Prodigy never considered as headliner status?

New album out,Just had their 6th consecutive number 1,always sell out their tours and have headlined large festivals before.

Prodigy headlining would make my day!

One of the few bands out there, on my vague, not very precise list of bands I need to see, that I haven't seen yet.

apologies for the convoluted sentence.
