When the rain hit last year we were watching a crooner sing just over the bridge in the circus field. It was pissing down and he was making jokes about standing under scaffolding while there was a storm and singing What a Wonderful World. It was great fun. We didn't even know they had cut the power off until we got to the circus tent and thought they were taking too long to set up the next act.

They didn't make it explicitly clear what was going on on the Pyramid either, they got all of Lily Allen's staging in place ready but then nothing happened for about 45 minutes. Bizarre.

Weather in 2013 was perfect I think. A shower on thursday evening which got rid of the dust, then beautiful sunshine for the next 3 days, it was hot but it wasn't too hot. Around the 20-25 celsius which is spot on

Yep, perfect. One of the best weekends of my life

Going back a page or two that storm last year was mad! We were at West Holts watching Vintage Trouble entirely by accident but it was a real moment when the power was cut and they came to the side of the stage and carried on acapella. Then the rain really kicked off... It was so heavy that my wellies got filled with water and I had to buy new socks. Evening swiftly improved with Wild Beasts and Arcade Fire though.

All your stores have got the excitement levels up :)

Yeah, I'm in my mid 40s and only got into them because of older friends. They aren't a band that later generations have latched onto and I mostly think it's only people in their 50s that really have any love for them.

just catching up. My brother in law and I got smashed drinking Jim beam one night and got his dad's old tapes out, and ended up listening to supertramp all night. Got a best of from him the following Christmas. If you scratch the layer of cheese off it, there are hooks you can hang your hat on.

Second only to ELO for me as heritage British acts still kicking about.

Me and my wife watched Vintage Trouble as well. Thought it was great how they came back on and the support they got from the crowd

I enjoyed the scorcher of 2010. The nights were awesome.

Absolutely beautiful year! Could wander around in shorts all night! (Twas also my first year - what a treat!)

Also just back in from work, miss anything?

I was there also but they came back on after the rain had stopped. Hope they get the full slot this year :)

I like how the ground was steaming 15 mins later when the sun was out. Annoying thing was I legged it up Acoustic to see Hazel O'connor, got there and realised she was at Avalon so legged it back just in time for Will You :)

Chances of getting our line up in the next couple of weeks is slim to none, so can anyone recommend any of the TBCs on the list that are a must to listen to in advance?

RODNEY BRANIGAN - He usually plays Small World Stage on Wed or Thu. Great introductory dose of 'music' on the first few days before the weekend begins. Terrific showman and cracking bloke. Btw he also sings and he often plays a really cool rendition of Kanye West's Golddigger and Radiohead's Creep.

Shouldn't really share this bloke cos that wee tent can get packed but I'm sure you'll appreciate. Pick up some tasty grub from Green Fields area, sit down and enjoy.

The very same as me.

A friend who was with me and had been a few times before remarked that I was in danger of being spoiled by the weather; indeed, he was bowled over himself as he'd never seen weather like that at Glasto.

It was a very special year, though, and was, for me topped only by last year. I think 2014 will take some beating, all things considered.

It was perfect. I know weather doesn't REALLY matter but that year was superb! Last year was also a personal favourite, although I seem to have a progressively better experience each year!
