Game of Thrones is awesome. You can form and opinion and say that you don't like it, but to say it's shit is (in my opinion) complete nonsense.

Ran out of up votes, so, up vote!

To be honest, she doesn't have enough of a following in Glastonbury's audience to headline. She'd be a ridiculously strong sub, but it'd be a bit of an uphill battle if she headlined. Although I would have said exactly the same as Beyonce before she nailed it so it could happen, but wasn't Beyonce booked as a sub initially?

Consider Kings Of Leon. When they headlined they had a few albums out, a bit of a cult following and I can remember Michael saying that he believed this was going to be "their " year with a very strong new album coming out. He was right. The album turned them into a big household name. ( and it was a great set by the way). At the time I know almost nothing by them at all. Taylor has not performed before but is a huge name with the biggest selling album in the world under her belt, a proven crowd pleaser, a big stage show that would make any band proud, a crop of recent big hit singles and a history of performing in tandem with everyone from Ed Sheeran and Def Leppard, big country and western names, to the Stones and McCartney. She is easily the most powerful woman in the music industry. These are facts, love her or loathe her. She could pull it off.

And if the the final headliners will be Oasis? I know that I am talking about a dream, or something strongly unrealistic, but I am continuously thinking about the anniversary not only because it is the 20th of (What's the Story) Morning Glory but also because of the anniversary of their performance on the Pyramid in 1995.[/quote

No chance, Noel is off doing his own thing still. No time to get together with band mates or rehearse anything. Also if they were to reform they'd do their own gigs and get a lot more money for them.

Absolutely no chance whatsoever.

I don't get the comparison at all. KOL had spent years playing festivals in the UK before Glastonbury. They're also boys with guitars which decribes more glasto headliners than not (rightly or wrongly).

Not to say that TS couldn't headline just that the decision to give her the slot is nothing like when they gave it to KOL.

By the way, there is a Game of Thrones thread in the discussions section.

Feel free to pop in, only rules are no spoilers from the books and no discussion of an episode until it has aired on Sky Atlantic.

Anyway.... back to business. Are AC/DC doing anything on the Sunday?

Game of Thrones LIVE to headline the Sunday? Works for me.

Oberyn Martell vs The Mountain, the rematch.

Breanne of Tarth vs The Hound.

Bronn vs lots of prostitutes.

Would look wicked on the big screens.

Edit: me & Daenerys having a cider in a sleeping bag (with full light show)

The level of can't be fucked there at there, is to damn high!

Cos yer Jon Snow.

Reading this thread is quite remarkable. Apart from the idea of a fit 25 year old woman being unable to perform four nights on the trot ( yeah right) can anybody give me one logical reason why Taylor Swift can't headline? Being female and being popular with young women is not acceptable.

Because shes utter utter shit , and not doing 4 nights on the rest of her tour and it would be the downfall of glasto or something.

Yes it is. And the other woman is the one who sold Mark some shoes, so he followed her to university and pretended he was a student there.

I am a little bit in love with her.

Kanye West playing at a festival with Oasis & Taylor Swift...

Wrong thread, sex face thread is elsewhere!

The same source that told me ages ago that the Roses weren't playing glasto (if anyone bothers to read my posts) has also told me that an Oasis reunion is coming.

Not now obviously, as Noel is in the middle of his tour and will be into 2016. But perhaps 2017? The reunion has been agreed in principle, though I don't know whether that will involve the original Oasis line up (bonehead, guiggsy) or Gem and Andy Bell will be available.

I don't think they're really pushing the boat out with either of these bits of information to be honest. :P But yeah, it is gonna happen eventually and I'd say within the next five years for sure. Too many factors working for it happening now Beady Eye are done, they're back talking and Noel's losing money on the solo career - and not sure it matters but I don't really think he's getting the festival slots he's wanting considering it seems they looked for headline slots this year and in England they got Latitude instead of Glasto/V.

Though I don't reckon they'll return to Glastonbury unless they make a proper go of it and get a couple of albums out.

Won't be 2017 has that would be the fallow year for Glasto. so would be more likely 2018.

I think the lineup will annouced after the resale..... getting itchy come on...

I thought the same, it's just inevitable isn't it? Just thought I'd post my info anyway!

Sure, I just meant 2017 generally as the year they may go for it.

Same, I hope I never endure this much pain again

The pain will worsen when the lineup comes out and they acts start to fall into day splits and you have to make your choices early on between artists you love... and they probably end up not clashing anyway.
