Thank you. I accept there are plenty of people who think that Swift is no different from many other manufactured pop singers. I know she is nothing like them and that's why I like her and it's also why she's held in high regard by many of her fellow performers and critics alike.

Well if she isn't manufactured pop she certainly sounds like manufactured pop and that's what most of us go by.Admittedly I haven't heard enough of her to form a proper opinion but I heard enough to know that it's not for me.Each to their own tho.

you don't have to like them or agree with it, but anyone saying that Taylor Swift and Kanye West aren't critically acclaimed is just highlighting their own stupidity and/or ignorance.

"Acts X & Y are only commercially successful!"

*Provides proof to the contrary*

"Critical acclaim means nothing! Critics are stupid, and they have cooties."

I get he's only a kid but it's a no from me on Declan.

Each to their own. Horses for courses and all that. He is very good live though - even when you take his age out of it. And is a seriously good lyricist, for someone that doesn't have too many life experiences as of yet. Brazil is about Sepp Blatter. Just wait til he gets a girlfriend.

Now that I'm clear that we think the opinions of journalists and music industry types are more important than us normal people, I can totally see why Kanye is a headliner, with that vast array of grammy awards he and his record company have bought. My real problem with Kanye is that he's a despicable misogynist who tries desperately to be edgy and "real" but ends up as the walking-accessory of a manufactured woman famous for being stupid and vain (Ahhhh, I've just worked out why they're together). And, as we are using awards as a guide, surely Clapton with his 17 Grammys (awarded over a considerable period of time, hinting at sustained quality rather than being the fashionable tit of the year) would be a more deserving booking. Cue the backlash from the Kanye-crew, with their love of the n-word and hatred of women, pointing to 40 year old quotes from a coke-addled Clapton proving how racist he is.

Taylor Swift can get to f***, though. She hasn't won nearly enough Grammys. The only logical choice for Sunday headliner is Alison Krauss.
