Biffy will not play Glasto, they are having a year out and writing a new album and not doing any shows, i can't imagine they'll do anything till 2016, they said after the Barrowland gigs they were taking a long break, however, i can't imagine it's easy to turn down a headline offer from the biggest festival in the UK

I hope it isn't Blur.. because I just bought Splendour in the Grass tickets..

I hope it isn't Fleetwood Mac.. because I bought Tickets to one of their Australia shows

I hope it IS the Strokes.. I know they said they wouldn't be playing but so did Blur and Fleetwood who seem to be the main contenders at this stage..

Biffy Clyro did briefly cross my mind the other day, but would go against what Emily said about the rock band, though she said that before we understand the third headliner to be booked, I know they aren't meant to be active but that could be their one big show this year

Il consider it very unlikely but still mildly possible

I just thought they would be willing at this later stage. If Emily was struggling after a band was pulled. Strike me as guys he would want to do it for the music/popularity rather than money.

I can now confirm the Sunday headliner is me and Sime answering questions on mid twentieth century combustion engines whilst covered in gooseberry jam. Update the poster.

Mmmmmm tarty....!

The Daily Star is saying Prince pulled out again last week. They have been known to be right!,

nah, the Star have only had VERY crap info for the last couple of years, since Dirty Desmond sacked off a load of staff.

Around this time last year they were claiming Oasis would be headlining in 2014.

The Star might be right with that story - it's an idea that's quite strong in my mind too - but I guarantee they're only guessing.

there's still a chance of prince doing a "hit and run" tour in june, which will include a virtually unannounced glastonbury.

This is the shred of hope I'm clinging on to.

the 'he's pulled out' story seems far more likely than this outcome, but i'm also clinging on to this hope. if he's got more shows lined up (as he's apparently in June around London) i'm sure he'd want the Glastonbury headline slot kept under wraps until those shows are sold out (as i'm sure the rush for them won't be quite as massive the second time round)

I dont think it's even about selling out the london shows, more for the dramatic impact an unannounced headline slot would have, in keeping with this hit and run crap.
