Hi All,

Been following the thread for a few weeks - prefer lurking to posting normally!

Anyway, Brian Johnson was talking to Chris Evans on Radio 2 this morning and Chris asked if ACDC were the final headliner. Brian didn't say yes (obviously) but more interestingly he didn't say no, and he gave a vague "I'm not sure what we're doing" response. However, he then implied they may play next year.

I was surprised he didn't just turn around and say no to headlining this year. Why not give a straight and definitive denial?

I'll hold my hands up - I'd love to see ACDC as the final headliner so that may be clouding my judgement a little!

You can't have been reading it that much if you think ACDC will be the final headliner

AC/DC on Radio 2, that's it, I might as well end it all!

much as I dont really belive it because its the daily star if the story on prince pulling out `was` true....that should be the last time eavis gives him the chance to play, if hes going to be that much of an asshole he needs to know the festival is a lot bigger then he is!

most things are a lot bigger than prince, tbf.

I'm amazed they went back to the preening bellsniff after his previous whining. I suppose persistence is one of the Eavii's great assets though.

Brilliant live. Saw their last ever gig in leeds.

Shame the drugs and booze fucked them over. The next two albums were nowhere near as good as the debut but had some decent tunes on.

Exactly.

I wasn't even sure that's what did it for them.

I just read some time ago that Robert Harvey was going through some problems.

Real pity... they were indeed brilliant live.

Saw them 4 times in their short existence and loved it every time.

I remember the year they filled in for Zwan on the Pyramid as a late replacement... I dragged all my grumbling mates to see them and they were hooked after about 3 tunes.

That first album is still a personal favourite

I am still bewildered to this day how The Enemy have ever made a living out of making music, if you can call it that

I just googled them because I couldnt remember what songs they had done, and when I looked at their album I saw this chilling sight:

"Bonus tracks:

  1. "Five Years" (David Bowie cover) - 4:31"

I cannot even begin to imagine what that's like...
