I think we definitely have several more 'household names' to be revealed. Whether one of them is Beck or not, I don't know. But I think the full lineup reveal is going to have additions people will be excited about, not just little stuff.

Andeeroo put together an interesting list of all the acts on the main stages last year that weren't on the initial poster here: http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/192040-so-what-have-we-got-what-have-we-not/?p=4644294. Some biggish names, eg Ellie Goulding, Bombay Bicycle Club, Haim, but nothing like Beck. I'd love to see him there but think it highly unlikely now.

Major points to Andeeroo, I ran out of upvotes this morning. Looks like we have loads more to look forward to, but there is so much already!

I wonder who decides which of the 'smaller' acts make it onto the initial poster? Especially at the expense of some of the more well known acts that will be announced at a later date.

It's great publicity for them, and a lot of the time between now and the festival is spent listening to these acts on YouTube, Spotify playlists etc. Must do wonders for them in future.

3 stories all based on the one from the mirror. And from their gossip pages. Not a shred of evidence other than a 'close source'.

Tabloids love the oasis reunion story. Like the express and the weather apocalypses. sell's papers.

tbh, if it doesn't come from The Sun nowadays I wouldn't bother. Yes it's a shit paper like all of them but they have had good info, The Star as Neil says forget it.

If I remember rightly the guy who runs this site suggested a British solo artist with a backing band.

The only person who I can think of is Noely G.

No day specified for Rock Werchter and in Switzerland or something on the Friday so nothing to say he couldn't get across and close the Sunday with don't look back in anger?

Don't know if it means much, but on the main Blur forum they've got an interview with Dave Rowntree. Re: live shows, he says...

Because we kept the album a secret, we couldn’t book many shows until the announcement, so we’re playing catch-up at the moment. When shows are confirmed we’ll announce them.

Probably fits in with the situation changing re: Glastonbury. Although I suspect he's referring to warm-up shows/a general tour.

I think you mean selfish pre-meditated con.

That is one other way to put it! I really hope it isn't as for some people, festival ticket prices are a big investment and I know some who have chosen IOW over Glastonbury (despite going for years) purely due to Fleetwood Mac 'exclusive'. It would be a shame.

As for Blur - I fail to believe both the festival and not least the band would want to play after 2009. It just could never reach the heights of what was unanimously one of greatest festival sets of all. Damon got his fingers burnt after the Gorillaz fiasco of a set failed to live up to expectations and I just don't see him making that mistake again.

My gut still says it's going to be the Mac.

Exactly this. I reckon it's between F.Mac, Taylor Swift and Stone Roses now Prince has being supposedly ruled out.

That's just what he surmised due to it not being announced yet I believe. It could be the band keeping their second, second coming tightly under wraps I suppose.

No he has hasn't, he has again posted this morning in response that it's straight from Glasto staff that have told that, he's never been lied to in that respect before and he doubts they are now. I'm keeping fingers crossed for Fleetwood Mac. Prince is out, Macca is out, it won't be The Roses and I'm less sure about Blur.
