is it not time to see a dance act back on the headline, long time since the Chems in 2000 (and the Basemant Jaxx in '05 but they were in as a fill in for Kylie) but even still that's 9 years since a dance act, any thoughts?

Who though?

The prodigy - cant see it

daft punk - dont play any more

Other than that who is big enough?

Calvin Harris doesn't mix so its basically miming for dj's.

I can't see who is big enough

Are we really dismissing The Strokes as headliners? I know they haven't released anything of late (apart from Comedown Machine) but it's The Strokes, their the reason indie guitar music came back to the UK, I personally would love to see them play and think they deserve a headline slot as much as Foo Fighters do

Eh I'd disagree but there's no real way to quantify it. Either way I am all for the idea of a smaller headliner to pave the way for the future. As mentioned before, Hot Chip and Sigur Ros would be belting.

Well people kept referring to albums and ticket sales to justify Taylor Swift headlining but he scored more in each of those. I agree he'd be a dull choice to headline but it's just worth pointing out.

AC/DC also fit the "he's british but the band isn't" thing.

obviously that was just a verbal thing and nothing had actually been signed at that stage, but it's worth thinking about anyway as the agent would have known the act's touring plans...

DAVID BOWIE!!!!!!
