Being swayed towards Macca now, seems to fit better than anyone else

Even though he's contractually signed to Roskilde as a European exclusive, and it's after G? I know exclusivity can often be flawed, but I don't imagine it is with such a big act at a big festival

I always though more likely continental Europe because I dont think Glastonbury has to compete for Germans, Dutch, Austrians etc like Rosklide, Pukkelpop, Wercter has to, so its less important.

Slightly worried that we are all edging towards bigger names becasue of the "contractual issues" delaying the announcement. I see no reason why this couldn't be a more underwhelming act caught up in some red tape.

Am i missing something?

The Pyramid Stage field being extended doesn't help things either.

I agree, which is why I was so convinced it would be florence.

I think the festival think they have got 2 mammoth acts in kanye west and foo fighters, so I wouldnt be at all surprised if the 3rd act was someone smaller who was not obviously headliner size.

If a 'smaller' act is having difficulties selling tickets for their shows (given that they will not be playing arenas, stadiums) then they don't really have a place headlining Glastonbury do they?

....which is why I have this creeping feeling Kylie is the most likely option.

I am sure that the Eavis' must feel that she missed her chance to headline because she got cancer and, as there simply aren't many other options available, she is a good alternative to promoting Florence. She hasn't sold out, which is the big issue with regards to exclusivity clauses (which are mostly unenforceable but you could sue an artist if you could demonstrate you've failed to sell tickets as a result of another announcement).

I know right, all those multiple sell out shows at Wembley and Old Trafford and tours across the world and festival headline slots... I mean wtf? they're just a local band basically.

Ha, judging by the reaction I'm probably wrong then. I'd definitely say they were stellar headline material, but didn't see them alongside other 'mammoth' acts like Kanye, Jay-Z, Stones, etc. Shown up my lack of knowledge on that sort of rock music clearly...

I would be a bit shocked if it was kylie. Just because I cant see why they would pick her over florence.

but there is the whole "unfinished business" thing, so who knows.

It would be an awful booking mind!
