Ha, judging by the reaction I'm probably wrong then. I'd definitely say they were stellar headline material, but didn't see them alongside other 'mammoth' acts like Kanye, Jay-Z, Stones, etc. Shown up my lack of knowledge on that sort of rock music clearly...

haha sorry, I think they probably are up there at that level, certainly one of the biggest most recent(ish) rock bands around at the moment.

although what do I know! I only like their first few albums pre-stadium rock balads.

They're certainly bigger than Kanye and Jay-Z. They don't have as much celebrity status, but as a musical act they're bigger. From 2010 onwards I'd say only The Stones and U2 are bigger, and Coldplay are probably on a par. Dunno about Beyoncé, actually. Muse a little smaller. The rest definitely smaller.

I doubt it's him.

The "other shows" that I know the 3rd headliner has are unlikely to be outside of the UK, because of how exclusivity is usually within the UK when talking about another UK show for an act.

Why couldn't those shows be the UK arena gigs he's playing at the end of May? Edited by Zac Quinn

Has anyone suggested it could be the Paul Simon & Sting show that's currently running around Europe? (Not that I'd be thrilled if it was...)

'On Stage Together' - it clearly takes the combined imaginations of two of last century's greatest songwriters to come up with a tour title of that level of stunning originality

off topic, but i think Flight of the chonchords should play. They would be Bloody perfect for Glastonbury!

Ovbiously not headlining tho...

Been 11 years, about time!

Actually wondered in on that set halfway through in 2004...

Alas I think any talk of FOTC, Bill Bailey or Tim Minchin will get nixed by Eavis' objection to having comedy on the pyramid...

Taylor Swift?

OMG!

Are you trying to suggest that you didn't read meticulously through 1609 pages of this thread prior to your first forum post?

Some people have NO commitment...! ;)

Edit - no doubt someone cleverer than me will update you on the current #teamswift likelihood...
