but there's been no suggestion of it being that.

there was actually, either directly, or alluding to it.

It would be a "Global Citizen" concert at which No Doubt were 'guests' (if No Doubt were involved), and quite possibly not the only 'guests'.

well yeah, that's what i said.

If it's Chris Martin performing with another British band (not No Doubt) who else could we realistically see fitting the bill?

Is there a chance it could be someone who's not quite big enough to headline outright?

but at the same time has to be someone who can justify FATM being a sub?

All this talk is surely due to delirium and nothing else?

There can't be anything in this ... I'm just not having it!

For the sake of all our sanity, let's hope the 2016 headliners are done and dusted by Christmas - I can't cope with this again!

Here's a suggestion. Ignore everything Eavis has said.

Here's another. Don't.

Michael has always been a canny business man and excelled at playing the media, local politics and so on. The image that has developed recently on this forum of Michael as being some kind of bumbling fool with no insight is likely to be far from the truth.

*edit*

edited to say that comes across as a bit harsh and aggressive, I assure you it's not meant to.

Also, it's downright rude.

Surely Glastonbury benefiting and gaining publicity on the back of a charity event would be frowned upon?

There is no reason for any such event to be tied to Glastonbury at all .. And if the acts wanted to do it - then they could do it elsewhere (Hyde Park) and generate a hell of a lot more money on the back of it.

So just so I don't have to trawl through pages,

The current best guess is a Chris Martin fronted Super Group with Special Guests all in the name of Charity??

Surely the reason they normally do these things is ticket sales? Wouldn't the fee from Glasto be alot less than that?

This. I think some of us have put 1 + 1 together and come up with 57.

So because someone on Glasto chat Facebook, probably the least reliable source of info on the internet barring random people on twitter, said they met Michael and he said Chris Martin was involved in the last headliner, people are now discussing No Doubt headlining?

This is the biggest load of bollocks since Emili Sande.

The logistics of trying squeeze what is usually an all day event into a two hour set make no sense either. How much time would be wasted getting performers on & off stage, introducing them, etc? There wouldn't be much time for actual music.
