Mezhyp1
the Chris Martin playing part is untrue If the Chris Martin playing part is untrue, how much faith can we put in the rest of it?
Diva Sam
Wouldn't the No Doubt story fit with the story about female acs being a big part of the festival?
jonodillieono
If the Chris Martin playing part is untrue, how much faith can we put in the rest of it? All of it, Coldplay with Gwen Stefani replacing Chris Martin plz
Fivefingerjohn
I'm thinking co-headliners (never understand this tho as one is always above the other) rather than acts performing together? Maybe Chris Martin convinced them to do it?
shoptildrop
I suggest you look at hints of a supergroup posts - concerning members of those acts, and another (they who shall not be named) So either this: or even this:

Brave Sir Robin
the Chris Martin playing part is untrue "This year also marks the 30th year of Live Aid, and its possible that Chris Martin could appear alongside an act or acts that graced that bill"Read more at http://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/15/150422c.shtml#uqOFm2DcpuRiH2ZM.
captainmuscles
Just to entertain a silly one. If Glastonbury announced McBusted as the Sunday headliner, would you see them? To see off the weekend with a laugh? They *are* after a younger crowd...

Bonehead> Clapton
Fair enough. I'm surprised! Yea haha, Check it on youtube. one was a good few years back, think they played live forever at a charity gig. and the last time was the brits a couple of years back, Chris played piano on AKA what a life. Can't see Liam having much time for him tho haha

briddj
Noel and Damon also did Tender together at the Teenage Cancer gigs. Noel > Blur with Noel coming on for Tender. That's what I'm sticking with - not this super group claptrap.
robu
So either this: or even this: There's a compelling synchronicity to all this. - Third headliner to be announced June 1. - Prince supposedly due in London in June. - Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney mooted as headliners, both in UK in June. - Chris Martin supposedly working behind the scenes, organising things, also assuming a 15-year-long curatorship of Global Citizen festival. - All of Emily and Michael Eavis's pronouncements so far "(third headliner is huge; two headliners; he's British, the band isn't; it's not Coldplay etc etc)" - Glastonbury's long association with Greenpeace and climate change issues. - Special GuestS (plural) on the poster. - Pyramid field extended for extra capacity, as with the Stones. - 30th anniversary of Live Aid (ok, that's a bit tenuous, but some people like anniversaries). I've started discounting any hopes of Blur, Fleetwood Mac or Stone Roses. It looks more like we might be getting something totally new as far as Glastonbury headliners go. Lucyjane83
Wow, my head hurts. Are we talking some kind of live aid style gig, live from Glastonbury Festival on the Sunday? There was a suggestion they were 'doing something different this year', wasn't there?
SLEEPYMOPS
Could it not be a big dance act that needs the dark and another big band happy to play underneath
thewayiam
I don't know any facts to back this up but I just can't see Noel and Chris Martin getting along? Do they? Don't thin there been many issue's before. Noel supports teenage cancer trust, he just doesnt seem to be the sort of bloke into doing climate change benefits. Didnt he call Coldplay bed wetters? He also called Ed Sheeran and more recently said he's fine with him lol. I'm not calling it but the Noel into Blur suggestion its so far fetched, I think if the whole Noel coming out for a Blur song is to happen again then Glasto is as good a place for it and this whole Noel is busy in Austria on Sunday date isn't confirmed. sime
Is anyone actually excited about what has been mentioned?! Yes! I will be dissapointed now if it's just 1 act. I want to see a massive supergroup now! I love this mad thread!
