Well Swift's show is sold out.

And even still I doubt anyone's passing on seeing an artist because they're playing a part in some collaboration, which could see them performing one song.

Let’s do a wee hypothetical bit of thinking into how this potentially could have come about;

• Michael & Emily are good friends with Chris Martin
• Between the three of them (not sure of who instigated the discussion) the begin talking about doing something different at Glasto 2015
• Chris Martin gets involved with Global Citizen
• M&E ask CM to work with them to secure two acts for the Sunday (having already booked the Foo’s and Kanye)
• Martin goes to work on his showbiz pals, trying to tie down two acts, with the double selling point of headlining the Pyramid/doing a lot of good work for charidee.
• Two acts are signed – due to other commitments/exclusivity they’re not able to announce them until June
• Rumours circulate about Coldplay headlining simply down to CM’s level of involvement with the booking
• Emily dispels those rumours while never stating CM wasn’t involved
• ME reveals more at the Q&A
• eFestivals Headliners thread goes into meta-meltdown

If we were to believe the above it doesn’t change THAT much about what we knew before last night’s Q&A. Many of the restrictions about who can play and who can’t remain, the only new wildcard is CM’s influence. Thoughts?
