Putting this (presumably) nonsense charity show talk aside .. If it is indeed two headliners, then we can realistically rule out any huge artists, as they simply wouldn't have the need for two headliners would they? In this I would count, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Macca, Madge, Blur, The Stone Roses.

Two headliners is likely to be the next calibre of acts down e.g. Foals, NGHFB, Ed Sheeran, The Strokes, The Libertines type of act.

I can't see the issue with them going down this route if a 'mega' act is simply available to be booked this year. They'll basically be saying 'look guys, we know these aren't big enough to headline on their own - but here are two that were close!'

So what about the Giddings 'You can't get one over on Glastonbury' quote?

OK, it's time for me to give this o9ne up, I guess ..... because that WAS Coldplay.

(they backed out because by April their stadium shows still had a lot of tickets to sell, and they didn't want to undermine those sales).

Wow! I thought you would never crack on that one!! Or at least hold out stubbornly for a few more years!

This has gone mad now. So everyone is headlining?

Is there anything to be said for another mass?

Im thinking Father Ted Quotes are now the new Godwins Law.

"As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a Father Ted quote approaches 1"

Careful now!

This is like a great big tide of jam. But jam made out of... forum posters!!

As I said earlier, Florence is definitely in that second group so if they are going Co-Headliner why isn't she one of them? It'd be easier to make her a co-headliner then bump someone else up to sub.

This is where the Co-Head argument falls flat IMO.

yep definitely. if they were gonna make somebody a co-headliner, then surely it'd be the one act currently on the lineup not headlining who we all predicted to be a headliner

I'm more thinking it's two connected acts.

Ian Brown and Stone Roses

Robbie and Take That

Stefani and No Doubt

Morrissey and The Smiths (i know)

Peter Gabriel and Genesis

I know there is plenty wrong with those examples but my thinking is solo act and then their band/former band

Don't want to make this a meta-debate... but you've got to tip your hat off to Neil. Any suggestion that the headliner thread could die down as it looked like we were down to 1 of 2 options has been blown out of the water by the suggestion we can just pair up any combination of artists.

Don't want to seem grumpy, but I'd bet that it's just Blur - maybe with one or two special guests.
