Headliners 2015

last year it was 8th May, so I reckon 7th May is the likely date this year for a stage-by-stage line-up announcement. eFestivals has been told it would come in May - but the best part of a month back now - tho i presume that still stands.

I think it'll really only be the 3rd headliner on 1st June, if 1st June is the right date.

So there will be another announcement like the day before refund day and no headliner til the 1st June? (Assuming Michael has told the truth)

Thanks Neil, that would make a lot of sense given the 8th being the final cut off for refunds and timing for the festival.

Yeah to be honest, the whole 1st of June wasn't mentioned as anything to do with the full announcement, just the headliner and if they didn't announce it now there is no reason why it'd have to come in a full poster. I reckon we'll get some Theatre and Circus acts possibly on May 1st and 8th May for stage split, was actually the 9th of May last year Neil, the 8th was a Thursday, easy mistake. So hopefully two weeks to go there about's.

Scott &/or I have been told by Glasto that there'll be an announcement sometime in May - which I presume will be the stage-by-stage, as it was last year - and that the 3rd headliner won't be announced until June.

Michael apparently said 1st June last night, which may or may not be right.

More than that I can only guess at, probably no more accurately than you.

further reports from the evening at the V&A - ME stated that next year's 3 headliners were already booked, and this year's 3rd headliner had played before and are having 'clashes' at the moment so unsure when they will be resolved.

Probably repeating what's been said but my friend was there and just text me this -

"He did say that the Sunday night headliner consisted of two acts to be announced. The next announcement is June 1st and he said it's going to be a 'big one.' Someone also asked if the bands were British on the Sunday and he said 'most likely.'".

I got the 9th from your news announcements of Glasto that's all. 9th of May was titled Metallica to be lords plus stage splits so I am going by something. There was no Glasto news according to the dates on the 8th.

I'd guess the date change is because the news article got tweaked the next morning for some reason or another.

Ah okay, Neil does have the 9th down though on the news announcements unless I'm confusing it with that the update might at night so he wouldn't have updated it until the morning? Probably that to be fair, fair play.

Christ, I thought we were getting desperate in March when we had basically suggested every single band that had ever existed as the 3rd headliner. We've now entered the made up supergroup territory which is now naming every single musician that is (1) alive and (2) free on Sunday night as possible group members.

As nice an idea as it is that Glastonbury might be giving over a headline slot to a charity event (what other festival would do that?), I can't help having an uneasy feeling that any sort of 'supergroup' or '....and friends' thing would just turn out to be a bit messy and disjointed.

Yeah if like previous years the deadline is on the 9th then it makes sense.

Given that not every ticket holder is as committed to finding the info as us lot, in my mind it makes more sense for the next announcement to be before the cancellation day just for those that aren't 100% with the lineup
