True, meaning we can't ignore it. But still, Im suspicious ... cos he says so much untruth. And he especially would want to throw people off the scent when its an act he doesn't wanna reveal til June!

Plus - it's mental! A hodgepodge headliner!! Who knows if it will even work!!!

Edit - unless its Liam joining the end of NGHFB for some Oasis songs or somert tried and tested.

Ok, I hate to bring sting and Paul Simon up cause we all know stings busy.

BUT many people said they'd be happy with them.

So wouldnt people be happy with 2 solo acts with a backing band? If it's the right two of course

Would Noel and his birds open for Blur? Not sure the Gallagher ego would stand for it..

To be fair nor should they. The Gallaghers won that battle 20 years ago. I reckon Noels solo album will also outsell the Blur one when it gets released.

This is wild. As if Oasis reuniting wasn't big enough now they'll only play WITH Blur who have already categorically denied that they're playing? And based on what? On a couple of unofficial passing comments to handshakers after a talk?

If that's the case why wouldn't Mr Eavis have mentioned it during the main stage talk, rather than waiting and telling everyone individually afterwards. And he's been wrong so many times in the last 12 months I don't know why we're still buying anything he's saying anyway!

When someone like Ed Sheeran or Rihanna gets announced now, it's going to be hilarious that we momentarily flew as high as an Oasis + Blur supergroup ^_^

Not too sure about that at all. I would wager a pint of the cider busses spiciest grog that Blurs will sell more. Much harder to gauge though these days what with the multitude of ways people can listen to/steal music.

Oh in that case oasis won fuck all.

Unless releasing the same album ten times over is beating constantly evolving and improving with each record, then coming back after a hiatus with a record that holds up against your earlier cannon as opposed to half of you sounding like shit 70s lennon songs and the other half sounding like a lighter version of the last shitty album you recorded as a band then yeah I guess you're right. Oasis won.

Music was the winner.

no, fuck that. the opposite.

Really????

They won the shit oasis song vs the shit blur song getting to number one battle maybe but blur definitely won the war.

It was the other way round mate. Country House beat Roll with it to No 1 and then Oasis trounced all over Blur. Best not open up old wounds really nut imo I do not see any justification for Blur playing above Noel.

How about the fact that Blur have played, by popular consensus, one of the greatest headline shows ever seen on the Pyramid while conversely Oasis played one of the worst?

I've seen Blur, Oasis and NGHFB and I know who I'd want to end the night on.

Can I just say I like both Blur and Oasis. Blur were far more innovative and musically talented but Oasis had the songs and attitude. In terms of sales and popularity Oasis pissed all over Blur. From a live perspective Oasis were head and shoulders above Blur. Blur when I seen them live were pretty weak. Oasis may not have had the talent Blur possess from from the perspective of having a beer in a field and enjoying yourself then Oasis would be my choice. It is different horses for courses and in regards to who should get top billing then I think Noel should get it above Blur. It will be interesting to see the sales and also how they fare in regards to ticket sales.

If it was to be Blur above Noel then I can't see Liam being there. There is no chance imo that he would play below Blur.

All bands have good days and bad days. I have seen Blur play in Manchester and they have not come close to touching how good Oasis were at their peak. Blur will never ever touch how good Oasis were at Maine Rd or Knebworth.
