please, someone reassure me... Alt-J are total and utter shite, far far and away the top of my hate list, its a passionate dislike like i have for no other, absolutely dire music if you could call it that... agreed? :nyam:

They'll be completely forgotten about by this time next year. Overhyped, bland, dull shite.

Never heard a song by them admittedly, but the points still stand

Just sat through the bickering on question time, no one answered the important question of the third headliner.

There are of course clear comparisons to be made with the election campaign and the headliner rumours:

Labour are Paul McCartney - appealed to a good large majority a decade or so ago, only to see their popularity gradually fade ever since

The Conservatives are Fleetwood Mac - rich folk, not renowned for their honesty and whose treatment of those they deem beneath them is at least questionable. Very popular in the 80's, only to fall off the face of the earth in the 90's, before a resurgence around five years ago

The Lib Dems are Blur - jolly popular five years or so ago but unlikely to do as well this time

UKIP are Muse - an idea given far too much attention given that it's never going to happen and wouldn't be that sensible even if it did

The Greens are Prince - an idealist pipedream, but liable to get huffy when put under greater scrutiny, and in reality never actually turns up despite lurking on the fringes of the discussion threatening to do so every time

Ooh, interesting developments indeed! The Swift dream is still on, despite the unlikeliness of the whole 4 days in a row thing. Glad there are two acts to announce for Sunday night - Alt-J always seemed wrong to me as a sub, in fact I'd be pleased if they weren't on the Pyramid at all as I think they'll really kill the mood, they're just very dull. Their placing on the original poster does suggest they will be there though.

To be honest, I won't mind whoever it is. Resigned myself to Blur or Fleetwood Mac who I'm already seeing, if it's someone else, that's a bonus. Every finger and toe crossed for Taylor though. It'd be a lot of fun.

Underrated post

Wow. Been out and this thread has even claimed the forum-life of the most ambitious of speculators, Matt42.

I called bullshit on this supergroup bollocks the whole way, along with a few sane allies, and I wonder if those who expected the most sensible resolution to Michael's 'clues' also see the same sensible answer I do now.

Blur penultimated (I'm not saying subbed) by Swift?
