With a one off greatest hits (Like a Prayer/Ray of Light heavy setlist) Madonna could absolutely own the Pyramid stage.

But if she headlined as part of a world tour & didn't alter the setlist to fit the festival I think she would struggle.

Ironically enough I could imagine her doing her newer dance stuff with awful guests like Nicki Minaj in the hope that it restores her credibility, when in actual fact if she just turned up & played her best material her credibility would be intact.

Madonna would be brilliant, so long as she's hit-heavy and not just promoting a new album.

EDIT: Beaten to it! She'd definitely need a festival friendly set list but she would own the stage, no question about it. Isn't she also on the Eavis all-time wish list as well?

She needs Glasto. They didn't.

aye Glasto is just the kind of boost Madge needs to regain her popularity in the UK. her albums may still get to number one without fail but she's definitely fallen on hard times as of late (especially that last dud of an album). Sunday night on the Pyramid would do wonders for her if she did it right

I agree. But imagine a set-list full of hits, especially early ones. She'd be the face of the festival for 2015, no question.

I'm just looking at her Wembley setlist from the Blonde Ambition tour. I used to have a bootleg of that on tape as a young impressionable 12 year old. There's a 5 song sequence that goes Like A Virgin / Like A Prayer / Live to Tell / Oh Father and Papa Don't Preach that would still sound ace 23 years later.
